Clowns Gone Postal by Summer Waters

Buzzy is tired of the degradation of being a clown for hire at kids’ parties. He doesn’t even like kids. One spoiled child takes it too far and sends poor Buzzy over the edge. What follows is weekly hit lists and a finale of all out carnage. Even his clown friends didn’t count on was just how brutal and sadistic Buzzy could be.

Make no mistake, this is extreme horror. The violent scenes were so graphic and so abundant that they borderline on absurd. Let me explain. Absurd brutality in books is my favorite subgenre of the subgenre called ‘extreme’. It desensitizes, removes emotion as an element of author manipulation, and becomes just pure metaphorical and phantasmic fun. This book accomplishes all of that. It isn’t for the weak, be sure you understand the boundary pushing extreme horror is known for, before you dive in. In a world where other people are blamed for one’s own life choices—for  instance, I wondered if there was deeper meaning to his choice of profession when he doesn’t even like kids—you  see through the eyes of a narcissist who is deeply sick and twisted. I think extreme horror fans will thoroughly enjoy this book.
